Mateusz Dziewulski, better known as Skytech, isn’t just spinning tracks—he’s spinning a legacy. At 34, the Polish-born DJ and producer stands as one of his country’s most prominent electronic music exports. With co-signs from titans like R3hab, Tiësto, and Martin Garrix, and festival stages from Tomorrowland to Ushuaïa Ibiza under his belt, Skytech isn’t chasing trends—he’s chasing impact. And winning.
But behind the anthemic drops and festival fireworks lies a story rooted in Polish romanticism, persistence, and pure passion—one that started in a Polish living room with a stack of old VHS tapes.
The Spark: A Brother’s Influence and Trance-Tinted Dreams
Skytech’s journey into electronic music began not in clubs or studios, but in his childhood home, watching recorded sets from Love Parade and Mayday festivals with his older brother. “We’d watch Westbam, Paul van Dyk, Chris Liebing—those trance sets got me hooked,” he says.
That early exposure to the emotional resonance of trance still echoes in his music today. While most kids were tuning into pop radio, Skytech was immersed in Paul van Dyk’s melodic builds and the underground intensity of Sven Väth.
By the time he was a teen, the global EDM boom had arrived—and Skytech dove in. “Swedish House Mafia, Avicii, Martin Garrix—those guys defined the ideal festival sound for me,” he recalls. Blending the emotive soul of trance with EDM’s explosive energy, Skytech started developing the hybrid sound that would become his signature.
The Breakthrough: “Tiger” and a Door to the World
The turning point came in 2015, when Skytech teamed up with fellow Polish producer Fafaq and global heavyweight R3HAB for the track “Tiger.” Released on Spinnin’ Records, it roared across the global scene.
“R3HAB discovered us early and really believed in our potential,” Skytech says. A decade later, Tiger still finds its way into his live sets, a testament to its staying power. More importantly, it opened doors. “When legends pick your track out of thousands, it shows you’re doing something right.”
Since then, Skytech has maintained a long-standing collaborative relationship with R3HAB, recently releasing the hypnotic follow-up “Hypnotising.”
A Global Sound Rooted in Polish Soul
Unlike many artists who evolve within a local scene before branching out, Skytech’s sound was global from day one. “I never really made local music,” he admits. “The scene I was inspired by wasn’t big in Poland. I always aimed for that international festival vibe.”
Still, his Polish roots run deep. He attributes much of his musical DNA to what he calls Poland’s cultural “romanticism”—a tendency to infuse art with emotional weight. “That romanticism shows up in the melodies I choose and the mood I try to create in every record.”
It’s also reflected in his work ethic. After nearly 20 years of producing and DJing, he’s still here—still evolving, still pushing. “It’s very Polish to have a strong faith,” he says. “I’ve seen people come and go. I want to be around, because I love this.”
From Tomorrowland to Ushuaïa: A Dream Still Growing
When Skytech first played Tomorrowland in 2017, he described it as “stepping into a movie.” Now, in 2025, he’s returning with sharper skills, deeper experience, and a brand-new set tailored to the current crowd’s hunger for hard-hitting EDM.
“The crowd has changed, and I’ve grown a lot too. This year’s set is going to be something special,” he promises.
Beyond Tomorrowland, Skytech is also set to perform back-to-back with R3HAB at Martin Garrix’s Ushuaïa Ibiza residency, one of the most iconic venues in dance music. “My music has already been there. Now I get to follow,” he says with humble pride.
A Mission Bigger Than Music
Despite the milestones, Skytech remains grounded by a simple truth: music makes life better. “It’s not about fame or trends,” he says. “I just want to make music that feels good. That lasts.”
Even in the TikTok era—where algorithmic hits often trump emotional resonance—Skytech refuses to chase virality. “I’d rather make something timeless than something trendy,” he says. “If the music has substance, it will last.”
Looking ahead, his only goal is to keep creating. “Make amazing tracks, and a lot of them,” he says. “Let the rest unfold.”
Conclusion: Legacy in the Making
Skytech’s story is more than a DJ’s rise—it’s a blueprint for passion-fueled longevity in a high-speed industry. His journey from Polish living rooms to the world’s most prestigious festival stages proves that you don’t need to follow trends to stand out—you just need a sound that speaks to the soul.
With heart, hustle, and headphones on, Skytech isn’t just playing the game—he’s composing its next chapter.
