Rocco Gibson is stepping into an exciting new chapter of his artistic journey, with not only a brand-new album on the horizon but also a television show that has already begun airing. Known for blending euphoric synthwave textures with innovative dance elements, Gibson’s upcoming album Capricorn promises to take listeners on a cosmic ride through sound, emotion, and story.
A New Direction With Capricorn
Building on the foundation of his previous project Rose Quartz, Gibson’s latest work pushes further into futuristic soundscapes while exploring a celestial theme. Each track is named after a heavenly body, mythological figure, or space-inspired muse, weaving together a sonic journey through the galaxy. With fast-paced dance tracks layered in synthwave textures, the album is both high-energy and deeply atmospheric.
One of the standout tracks, “Galaxina,” holds special significance. Inspired by Gibson’s longtime muse Dorothy Stratten, he completed the song on the 45th anniversary of her passing. “As someone who has always been deeply affected by her story, I wanted to honor her,” Gibson shares. Other tracks like “Red Calcite” and “Selene” reflect his love for Mars and moonlit creativity, capturing memorable moments from his recording process.
Expanding Creativity Onto the Screen
Adding to the momentum, Gibson’s new show Rise and Shine with Rocco is already airing on the CW Network in Eastern North Carolina. Produced by City Kids Enterprise LLC/Mental Margarita XYZ Productions, the show explores Gibson’s life as an artist balancing music, work, and family. Viewers can expect cooking segments, yoga lessons, stress reduction techniques, and an intimate look at his journey as a musician and individual.
The opportunity came after producers discovered his music and were impressed by both his artistry and perspective. “They liked what I had to say, and that same evening I was offered the show,” Gibson recalls. While the experience of speaking regularly to the camera pushes him outside his comfort zone, he embraces it as another outlet for creativity and connection.
Music, Media, and a Shared Message
Though music and television may seem worlds apart, Gibson sees them as two sides of the same coin. Both require patience, creativity, and fine-tuning to get just right. And at the core of both projects lies a shared mission: to spread peace, self-discovery, and inspiration.
“I want people to feel intrigued, uplifted, and maybe even start dancing,” Gibson says of Capricorn. “And with the show, it’s about spreading good vibes, easing stress, and embracing gratitude.”
With Capricorn set to transport listeners into a futuristic, space-inspired journey and Rise and Shine with Rocco giving fans an authentic look into his daily life, Gibson is proving that his artistry knows no bounds.
