From Small-Town Dreams to a Bigger Vision
Hailing from a small town in Northern Michigan, rising artist Lil Lud is quickly gaining attention for his unapologetically original sound and grounded authenticity. In a place where few dared to dream big, Lud stood out early — inspired by his grandfather and driven by a desire to create something greater than what surrounded him.
“My sound is really just how I vibe that day,” says Lil Lud. “I can change my tone depending on the beat. My style comes from my upbringing—my family showed me the luxuries of life, so I knew I wanted that for myself too.”
Introducing “NewAge Music”
Lil Lud’s music is hard to box in—and that’s exactly the point. His self-coined genre, “NewAge Music,” fuses rap and pop with emotion and intent, balancing hard-hitting lyrics and melodic flows. His engineer calls it “Stunna Music,” but fans recognize there’s something deeper: a fresh energy and a voice that cuts through the noise.
“My music stands out because of my voice and the topics I write about. It’s not just bars—it’s a feeling.”
Inspired by Legends, Driven by Legacy
Growing up, Lud was heavily influenced by the one and only Lil Wayne, whose unmistakable voice and style inspired him to find his own sound. “Lil Wayne’s iconic voice made me want to create something unique to me,” Lud shares.
But beyond industry legends, Lud’s deepest motivation comes from family. “The last time I talked to my grandma, I showed her a song I made for her,” he recalls. “When we speak again, I’m gonna tell her everything I did with music.” That moment wasn’t just personal—it became a promise. Her love and support are now part of every verse he writes.
A New Era Begins With “Ride”
Lil Lud’s latest release, “Ride” featuring longtime collaborator Boobie, dropped on June 20—and he’s calling it “the first song of a NewAge.” It marks a turning point in his sound and vision.
While his earlier project The Wave Vol.1 gave fans a taste of what he could do, Lud says those were just his early steps. “Those were my first songs recorded in a real studio. These new tracks? This is the NewAge.”
The Mission: Greatness and Connection
Lil Lud isn’t just here to make music—he’s here to make a mark. “I strive to be one of the greats. That’s my goal,” he says. Though he prefers to write alone, the purpose behind his work is always bigger than himself.
“Music has always been my dream. I strive to make the best music possible for anyone and everyone. I want people to relate to what I’m saying—no matter where they’re from.”
