For Mike Rari, music has always been more than just sound it’s been a mirror of his journey through love, heartbreak, and self-discovery. His latest single captures that raw truth, telling a story about loyalty, resilience, and fighting for the people and passions that matter most.
“Everyone is deserving of love,” Rari shares, reflecting on the song’s message. “No matter your past, there’s always more story to be written.”
Where his last release Love ’n Lies carried the weight of moving on and leaving behind a relationship that no longer served him, this track feels like a turning point. It’s not about endings — it’s about the hope of rebuilding, the courage to rekindle, and the rush of following your heart even when the timing feels uncertain.
The single also marks a full-circle moment. The track features his longtime friend Caleb Holt, one of the first artists Rari ever made music with back in high school. “I couldn’t play the instrumental without hearing Caleb on it,” Rari says. “When I got his verse back, it just clicked. We’ve both grown so much on our own paths, and it’s invigorating to finally create something together again.”
That sense of growth runs deep in the fabric of the song. In the past, Rari admits he often wrestled with balancing melody and lyrics, sometimes sacrificing one for the other. But here, everything aligned. “This track challenged me to create something cohesive something that speaks from the heart while still being infectious. Every bar had to resonate. That gave me real confidence in my songwriting.”
And it shows. With a stirring vocal sample that sets the tone from the very first note, the record feels cinematic the kind of track you’d hear in a rom-com climax where two lovers finally realize they’re better together, racing through an airport to stop a departure before it’s too late. By the time the hook lands, you’re rooting for love to win.
One lyric, in particular, stays with him: “Devilishly heaven sent, girl I’m addicted to you.” It’s a line that captures the contradictions of desire — how something can feel divine yet dangerous, irresistible even when the signs say otherwise.
But beyond the romance, Rari hopes the single inspires listeners in a broader way. “I just want people to feel. To know it’s okay to try in love or in life. It’s okay if things don’t go as planned. That journey, that growth, is always worth it. Give your all, be yourself, and the right people will gravitate toward you.”
With this release, Mike Rari doesn’t just deliver another piece of music he delivers a reminder. Love is worth the risk. Loyalty is worth the fight. And sometimes, the timing doesn’t have to be perfect for the story to still find its happy ending.
